Chain wheel gear selector jammed in 1st, but after much fiddling managed to free it.   Would not have liked to cycle across Tassie hampered by that.   At the ferry, met an Austrian couple who'd cycled down the W coast than across the Nullabor.   Boarded the 'Spirit of Tasmania'.   Left Melbourne.
